You find yourself in a small room,
the walls are very tight.
A trickle of red
forms at your feet.
Soon it’s more than a trickle,
more than a puddle.
You start to panic.
What’s happening?
It’s blood!
It rises to your knees
as you vomit in fear.
It mixes together,
making an awful sight.
You fight for your life,
as it reaches your neck.
You feel it slowly creep up,
higher
and higher.
You can no longer breath
through your mouth.
You take a deep breath as it
reaches your nose.
It fills your nostrils.
You never noticed
just how thick blood is before.
It fills your ears,
making you deaf.
You close your eyes
as it covers your head.
Your out of breath,
so you gasp for air.
But there’s none to be had,
only blood is left.
It fills your mouth,
it tastes like copper.
You gasp and gasp
and open your eyes wide,
but all you see is red,
fogging your vision.
You no longer know if
the haze is in your brain,
or from the blood.
Without oxygen, you can’t survive,
so your body gives up
and dies.

dude, that was an awesome poem. It made me feel like I was in a real live horror movie or something. It was greatly expressed! I really DO like it. Keep writing and if this is the way you feel may God be with you. :) |

Ooh... Cool. Y'know, I always thought drowning in your own blood would be interesting. I never though of it the way you've described it, but it still captures the mentality. I pictured drowing in your own blood where something punctures your lung, so that it fills up with blood, causing the other to do the same. Hm... May I should write a poem about that... |
