My hearts been broken in two tonight...
Sadden by the news I just read...
A young man filled with such dread
Couldn't stand life anymore...
So, he took an exit through life's door
A brillant young talent has been lost
He had so much more in life to give
But at what price... what cost?
The life he left behind...
The love he will never give...
What was he thinking in his last days?
In his last hours...?
Were they filled with pain?
Was all hope totally lost?
Did he feel as though his life had been lived in vain?
The blackness of suicide takes its toll
As it grasps for total control
The loss of a child...
The loss of a son...
The loss of a brother...
The loss of a friend... is like no other
We ask ourselves why?
Why did it happen?
But no answer comes...
Just a stark, cold reality...
Simply put... life held no meaning anymore...
Love was not there to soar...
We, those who are left, keep on asking why?
This is the cold reality... suicide...
