stand in the corner
like a lamp
with a shade on my head
and a pull string
ready to be yanked
sure it won't turn on a light
but it will me
and in the end
isn't that all that matters
a lonely woman
and a room
of unsuspecting people
ready to give me a try
just to ease
their eyes

This was truly a unique take on a lamp in regards to feelings and people. Well done. Kie
