Heir To The Throne (pt.2)

Contributed by Cynthia on Thursday, 11th March 2004 @ 10:45:18 PM in AEST
Topic: mythology

"Who could this be?"
she thought to herself.
She had never seen this
handsome stranger before,
maybe he was a messenger,
or maybe a brave noble knight,
or possibly even a Prince.
She wanted to meet this
person face to face,
so she slipped on her shoes
and rushed down the stairs.
The King was standing at the door
talking to the young man,
"Father, who are you talking to?"
asked the Princess.
He didn't answer her at first,
but then turned around and said
"This young man is the one
keeping an eye on my brother."
She looked puzzled.
She rushed downstairs to find out
he was a man keeping an eye
on her uncle that killed her mother,
she thought it was a waste of time.
"He's also a Prince," her father added.
She began to blush,
her heart felt like it was ready
to jump out of her chest,
her knees went weak.
The Princess walked over
and shook the Prince's hand.
"Nice to meet you," he said,
she smiled at him and replied,
"Nice to meet you as well."
The princess never met a man
as handsome as he,
she left her father and
the Prince alone to talk.
Later on that day,
the King went upstairs
to talk to his daughter.
"I have to go into town young one."
"Please father, I beg of you,
don't go into town," she cried.
"My brother has to pay for
killing your mother," he replied.
She tried everything to stop
him from going,
but nothing worked.
The King had his mind set on
getting even with his brother.

Well, my goodness, your muse is working overtime and well, I might say. Keep up the great work, young lady! Good stuff.
