Spread Your Wings

Contributed by lostinlimbo on Thursday, 11th March 2004 @ 07:00:33 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Our hearts were full of love; flowing with passion for each other
Our minds were set in stone and eyes blind to another
When he came along I gave no second thought to your guy friend
But in the end I never guessed your heart he would win
He has the riches and the car.. the house and the looks
I never wanted any of that just what he took
No one could ever love you like me and hold you oh so near
Be there when you are excited, sad or when you're filled with fear
Never would I let harm come to you, there is no way
But as today comes and goes you've left me in such pain
My sleeve is torn and gone, my you heart you have killed
And in my lost soul there's a gash that cannot be filled
I hope he makes you happy and your lives will be so great
I'll be forever numb can't even feel the hate
I loved and love you, my angel so spread your wings and fly away
I live for your happiness forever.. so enjoy it, I'll be okay
