"POOR NOAH"
Have you never given it much thought?
Poor Noah had his hands full, alot!!
His Ark when built to specifciations
Length, 3 football fields, yards 100 dozens!
Three stories high, 120 years to build.
Not professionals either, unskilled.
Try to imagine for a minute or two....
What it must have been like for his crew?
The animals were tamer in those days.
Making it easier for his working ways.
Pairs, but so many times forgotten,
The clean animals by 8"s with caution.
Store enough food for your family
Enough too for animals and wee bee.
Must have taken him over a year
Carefully packing, wine too, no beer?
Come with me, and be a stowaway.
Let's see what Noah did each day?
Birds have to be flying all around.
Snakes under foot all over the ground
Hippo, Alligators, let over the side
Had to be exercised during the ride.
Giraffes main decks, avoid stiff necks!
True "Elephant Walk" by hand, protects.
They didn't stop having babies either.
Pulling little lambs from their mother.
Cows with calves, more on the way.
Sunup to sundown, Noah's work day.
Straws chosen every morning of course.
Short one "Poop Bridgade" fun workhorse.
Shoveling poop every hour more than 40 days.
Let me tell you, much faith, no malaise!
Now let's take a look, Noah and his kin.
No meat eaten, that came after the flood.
Kitchen floor all straw, bunks slept in.
Fruits, vegetables, "Flood Sickness" crud!
Noah was a wine maker, fine quality.
They look so cheerful, light, happy!
Can you imagine the aroma, the smell?
Similar to Circus, or animal zoo motel!
They thought the Woodpecker may have to go
Constant observation, time -consuming,slow
He along with termites, pecked and chewed
Only loving patience, saved and rescued.
Oh, Look!~ The domestic animals here
Cats, dogs, monkeys, rabbits long ear.
Noah, such a dear, you saved our pets.
Out of love, your faith astounds,
at your feet we toss rosettes!
"The last line is for Larry our rose thrower!"
*smiles*

P.S. All you need to know you can
learn from Noah's Ark.....
Don't miss the boat.
Remember that we are all in the same boat!
Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah
built the Ark.
Stay fit. When you're 600 years old someone
may ask you to do something really Big!
Don't listen to critics, just get on with the job
that needs to be done.
Build your future on high ground!
For safety's sake travel in pairs.
Speed isn't everything. The snails were
on board with cheetahs.
When you're stressed, float awhile.
Remember the Ark was built by amateurs,
the Titanic by professionals.
No matter the storm, when you are in it with
God there's always a rainbow waiting!

This is simply delightful ConSue!
What ingenuity!
Who can resist the charm of such a lovely work? Only ConSue can emphasize with poor Noah's problems and labors. Empathy par excellence!
Enjoyed it greatly!
Love and Peace

Noah is one of my favorite stories in the bible. I have put myself in his position at times and tried to think what it must have been like to build a boat in your yard and everyone laughing thinking your probably insane yet you keep on building, stocking, gathering animals. Awesome poem ConSue and I LOVED the pictures. Animals are a blessing. Thank you for sharing this one. Kie |

The Critters' Lady with her pen
Wrote a super poem, again
---------------------------------------------
Years ago in my garage I built a boat of wood,
I did everything it said to do and some I thought I should,
I brought it to a river and I loaded it with junk,
And sure enought as you suspected, the silly vessel sunk.
