Just Too Close!

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Saturday, 14th September 2002 @ 12:21:29 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

As usual sitting way too close
To this square glass fronted thing,
My back and neck are really aching
And these eyes have begun to sting!

So long is spent just sitting here
Many hours pass by in a stare,
Suppose I ought to invest in a filter
And find for my health a decent chair!

An addiction this thing has become
Just like that other picture box over there,
Like a brain washed zombie rarely budging
I have to get outside in the mornings fresh air!

Shut it down for one more day
Bed beckons so to sleep I must go,
Guessing I’ll be away for only a few hours
You’re my thoughts till return you should know!

haha, your right of course. But you have to try and find the right balance, a virtual life is no substitute for a real life. Says she, who just spent 4 hours on Diablo without realising!!hehehehe

Good write once again
Pen.

Dean, you seem to have written about most of my life since Ihave gotten a computer. There I times when I turn it on only planning to stay for a few minutes and before I know it hours have passed me by. I strongly believe that the computer is addictive! Great poem.

So do I Candice,
and if I'm not careful I'll soon need spec's! Which could be kinda cool I suppose! Hmmm
Thankyou for commenting, again I'm pleased you could relate to my poem.

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, I have been suposed to wear glasses since I was 8, but I only wore them for a year and refused to wear them (BIG mistake) I started wearing them again when I was 14, but the time I hadn't woren then and the fact that my eyes are really very odd (I am near sighted in my right eye and far sighted in the left. All the eye doctors I have seen have never seen anything like it.) Because of all that last year being only 19 I ended up having to get bifocals (Do you know how OLD that makes me feel?) But at least now I can see. So I would have to say that if you do end up needing glasses WEAR them. I only wish that I had learned that sooner maybe I would have to wear bifocals now.

Hey Candice,
I reckon that probably makes ya feel somewhere about late 50's early 60's maybe!!Hehehe
Glasses on women are seriously sexy, I think it's kind of a librarian thing! Something to do with intellect!
And you're very right, it's really important to wear them if you're supposed to, as you found out Candice! Touch wood, I don't think I need them yet although in class I have started to develope headaches, so this isn't a good sign! I just can't help leaning forward so I'm up close and personal with the screen!

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, You think glasses on women are "seriously sexy"? O must say I have never heard that before. That certainly makes me feel better about having to wear glasses. I have had a lot of people stay that I look even smarter with my glasses on.
I speak from experence when I say that getting headaches in clss isn't a good sigh. That is what made me go back to the eye doctor and start wearing glasses again. I still get head ache (But that is becuase I suffer from migraines). But the glasses have help me some.
