Paperwork

Contributed by mouth on Thursday, 11th March 2004 @ 01:46:01 AM in AEST
Topic: political

Something needs to be said about my country
The greatest place in a world full of nations
Where we spend more money on war
Rather than feeding our poor.
It's all in good cause though-
We need our oil
To drive our cars
So they can charge
A dollar more than before
**** the homeless, let them starve!
I gotta get to work tomorrow.
So what do you do
When the rent is due
The bills are high
And you don't have a wat to pay
Because they lowered your wage
And sold your job to the country around the block?
Barely making a living
Because they raised taxes
And your check is already spent
To support high unemployment
And the economy's decline.
Some guy in Pakastan has your job
For a mere 10 cents an hour less
And now your collecting food stamps
Instead of exquisit Tiffany lamps.
-The American Nightmare-
Lady Liberty is being pick-pocketed
By money hungry republicans
And the democrats have their hands
Up her Skirt, raping the American Dream.
The morals we teach our youth
That we are a nation of equality divided in two
There are the rich,
There are the poor;
There are the blacks,
There are the whites;
There is me,
There is you.
This great nation our ancestors built
On the graves of Indians
Through the labor of slaves.
Freedom is nothing more
Than what you can afford
America the brave
The beauty is in her bullsh*t
Those slick politicians talking their game
Like prostitutes on a street walk
Trampling over the needy
To feed the greedy
One giant corporation of thieves
We don't have presidents
We have C.E.O.'s
The voice of the people is told
Through ad campaigns
And movie screens
Kids shoot up schools
Like Hollywood action scenes
And young girls don't like to eat...
Since when did Somalia become a fasion statement?
We are under educated, overworked
And tired of a system that tells us what freedom is
What is the right to speak worth
If your voice is not heard?
I bare my arms against
Nuclear bombs and biological warfare.
Everybody knows that paper work
Is just the governments way of ****ing with you
Keeping track of you
A number
A statistic
A casualty
of a system that doesn't even know your name.
I am not a patriot
Because I am a realist..

I used to work as a court clerk in Texas. I had as one of my various little tasks, to fill out forms for the bureau of vital statistics. They kept track of how many people of each race were divorced, separated, adopted, etc. But there were only three boxes to check: white, yellow, black. I crossed out the yellow and wrote in chinese. They sent the form back. I researched chinese, and wrote in Mongolian...they sent the form back...this time my supervisor got it LOL...you're right..we aren't people we're little boxes.

George bush is such a fag and he thinks that no1 knows that he doesn't give a ***** 4 any1 but himself, he thinks that people don't care that he goes to war 4 any god damn reason. But he is a decieved because every1 does care and i am sick of his racism and smart arse remarks he is a f*cking ***** hole and i hate him as much as possible.

This is just my opinion so feel free to be angred by what i said or think that i am wrong.
