Whisper my name but please remember me
Listen to my words, but don’t be so cold
Touch my hand; let me try to help you see
The feel of your lips would have had me sold
Try to forget the pain that I had caused
See that I had never meant to hurt you
Asking for your embrace after you had paused
We talk, but perpetuate the pain through
I wish this never had to end this way
An eternal loop and ended our chance
You led me on, without the courage to say
You had made your choice, you had made your stance
Must not look back and regret what happened
Hoping to move on and make you my friend

Very sad, yet beautifully poetic
It's depressing to think that from such pain and grief can arise a wonderful write such as this...
Excellent!!!
Shadows may follow in your footsteps, but only you decide to where it heads...
