The Silence of Solitude

Contributed by liquidchaos on Wednesday, 10th March 2004 @ 10:27:00 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Why do the heathen rage?
And the people imagine a vain thing?
Let us break their bands asunder,
And cast away their cords from us.

Let us speak unto them our wrath,
And vex them in sore displeasure,
And rebuke in our anger,
And chasten in our vengefulness.

Let us tear their souls,
Rending the wretched in pieces.
For in mortal death there is no remembrance,
From the grave, who can bring Chaos?

The wicked walk on every side.
The vilest ones are exalted.
Their desert to them will be rendered,
They will be turned back, and brought to confusion.

Let us pour out our indignation upon them.
Let us show them our fury.
Let them experience that which they graced us with—
The silence of solitude.
