Where do you focus your lens of life?
Pictures do tell of life's struggles and strife.
Developed into memories of a self portrait,
Over time more familiar of whom we are.
Each event but a glimpse of a picture story.
The birth of a child or the death of a loved one.
Change of the seasons and of growing old.
The pain of the world and the hungry little children.
The abundance of smiles drowned out by tears.
The beauty of Mother Earth and her nature.
Looking to the sky wondering if we are all alone.
Starring at the mirror to view our own mortality.
A snapshot of time is all we can claim.
