I love summer
especially sunset time
it was always around seven
when the world would shine
the clouds were barely there
the weather, barely cold
and there was always a time
when the sun turned everything to gold
I'd pull the curtains back
lie down, face up to the sky
pretend the clouds are alive
wishing I could just fly
I watch the soft breeze
gently sway the trees
everything so calm
except the rustling of the leaves
