Eternal Memories

Contributed by starlight_dancer on Wednesday, 10th March 2004 @ 06:28:33 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

A whole year gone by, and still I cry,
Those memories so fond and dear
A pain that's felt, memories blur and melt
Evolving into something unclear.

One year on, since that sun shone,
The heart felt pain so numb.
The way we'd talk on those long walks
The way we'd have much fun.

Embraced by grief, longing for relief,
Her love eternal made me whole.
Her gentle touch, she cared so much
She will always remain in soul.

Indeed, this is one outstanding tribute.
Your rhymes are scintillating (I think thats a good enough superlative) and it reads like a caress.
Beautiful.

This is exsquisite and breathtaking...a beautiful tribute to your enduring love for your grandma. Very moving, written so well with so much heart. Something to be proud of; you should be proud of this, and I believe she is too, smiling on you as we speak.

Love you always,
-Dan

I lost my grandmother a year ago january 30th. She was my best friend. Your poetry is so beautiful. What a wonderful way to remember all you two had. After her death I was changed forever, Some loss is so terrible that it changes who we are forever. Wonderful tribute to your grandmother. (btw, I still cry too)

Oh I'm so sorry for your Grandma"s loss.
Your poem was endearing and heartwrenchingly blue.
You must have been very close you two.
She will remain in your heart and soul,
forever is true........a love never leaves the heart if it is true.
Lovely, kind, and touching
