southern hummingbird

Topic: Lifepoems

sweet voice
wake me
every morning
beauty of the new day
of life
in it self
is the song you sing
wake me
from dreaming
so softly
you knock at my window

hum hum
chirp chirp
tweet tweet
your symphony is sweet
as a lovers passion
you stroke my ear
with your sweet sweet
morning song
not one word
just
tweet tweet
chirp chirp

you make me smile
everyday
and its like an endless oh
without the sex
your lil birdie song
always wakes me
starts the day
off right
like a bowl of cherrios

relieves all the stress
its the simple thing
i like
and you're there
rain or shine
never leave me hangin'
or wantin' more
cause you can't just roll over
and fall asleep
cause
you're the soul of the mornin'
the openin' act
for the rest of day
my sweet sweet
southern hummingbird
