I'd sacrifice everything
to get things back
let go of anything
before it all goes black
life now seems too hard
and I'm facing it alone
everyone's too far
and now they're on their own
empty seats upon the table
where we had our best times
drinking, talking, laughing
intoxicating our naive minds
I'm scarless
but feeling broken and bruised
this world took its toll on me
I was battered and used
reminiscing about those days
days and nights by the beach
with not a care in the world
reality was out of reach
the days are empty now
feeling too tired to carry on
everything won't be alrite
because everyone is gone
getting harder by the second
I take another step into reality
I fall instantly
but where's the sympathy
this cold world won't recognise
one more life taken away
maybe I'll be back
its just not today
