UnKnown

Contributed by srugglingyoungster on Tuesday, 9th March 2004 @ 11:30:12 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Unkown is this phase
in which everything goes by,
was i supposed to care?

All my teachers do is add
to the pressure, of thinking
farther than im ready.

Today i broke down and
wanted to cry.
Imonly in Middle School,
i dont wanna think
about college.

Unknown is the world
in which i dont even know
I just take a step further
and fall flat on the ground

I pick myself up only to
be pushed back down
until i get by, ill wish i could
drown.

Drown in my sorrows,
my thoughts, my fears.
Until the worl to me
Is finally known.

Until then, like the world,
ill fall flat on my face,
only to get up and
pushed right back down,
wish to die and never to be found.
Like the world, im another "Unknown"

We're all "unknowns" until we find what it is God has for us to do in this life... hang in there... I know it's hard... but the best in life is yet to come!! Just hold on for one more second... one more minute... one more hour... one more day... DON'T GIVE UP!!! It's a good write... keep it up!!

I like this, it's very honest. The fact that it comes from the vantage of a middle school student really impresses me, because it is written from someone who seems much older. The way you wrote this was so advanced.
"All my teachers do is add
to the pressure, of thinking
farther than im ready." - a very clever verse
When you're down, writting sure helps.... I suggest you do more of it. If you like dark poetry and songs, maybe some of mine can inspire you? Keep it up!
