Farewell to you my dear one child
I’m afraid to leave you here,
Don’t crumble beneath my absence
Be with you, I shall,
In your heart & in your lovely mind
My dear mother, please don’t go away
Your warm hold will fade
A face, so welcoming you have,
Your sweet smile scares away the fear in me
Arms wrapped so lovingly around me
As your presence sinks away into the violet horizon
I can hear her faintly say, take care my only child
I promise, I will I can’t let your spirit down
I miss your innocence, Annick
A mothers caring soul is dissolving
My tears spill onto the tarnished floor
I reach out into the open, waiting for your hand,
For your hand to help me, to ease my sadness
Why must you go, & leave me here in the dark
Farewell to Annick, My child
