I sing of times that were
As I go along this long road
My heart waits for you forever
And as I carry my heavy load
The sun shines on my saddened face
I lift my head up high
My heart knows its place
I heave a heavy sigh
And feel the warmth and brightness of the sun's rays
As I count the days
Till I will have you as mine
For as of now I am only biding my time
And even though each day goes by so slow
My love does strongly in my veins flow
Like a mighty river rushing forth
As I look to the north
I know you will be here soon
And the moment I see you again I will swoon
I must hide this love for a while
But when I see your smile
It is so hard not to say what I feel
Love sometimes is a nightmare that is real
But even though I go through this turmoil of a long wait
I shall see what is our fate
Maybe you will see
A way to love me
If I mention it no more
Until you come and knock upon my hearts door
And present your heart to me
That is what I long to see
To be able to hold you for all eternity
Upon this black and painful sea
Of life
Where you are the only one who takes away my strife
Would be so divine
I shall wait for it till the end of time
Before this little life of mine is through
I only want one wish at least to come true
I would like one kiss from you
To feel your lips on mine
Would be heaven incarnate, a feeling so sublime
