Things Happen for a Reason

To think…

If I never would have lived where I did,
I would have never met the friends that I did.

If I never would have met the friends that I did,
I never would have experienced what I did.

If I never would have experienced what I did,
I would have never been tempted like I was.

If I was never would have been tempted like I was,
I would have never smoked cigarettes like I did.

If I never would have smoked cigarettes like I did,
I would have never smoked weed like I did.

If I never would have smoked weed like I did,
I would have never gotten expelled like I did.

If I never would have gotten expelled like I did,
I would have never gotten depressed like I was.

If I never would have gotten depressed like I was,
I would have never gone to rehab like I did.

If I never would have gone to rehab like I did,
I would have never run away like I did.

If I never would have run away like I did,
I would have never been addicted to heroin like I was.

If I never would have been addicted to heroin like I was,
I would have never felt the feeling that I did.

If I never would have felt that feeling that I did,
I would have never decided to come back home like I did.

If I never would have decided to come back home like I did,
I would have never left rehab like I did.

If I never would have left rehab like I did,
I would have never gotten that second chance that I did.

If I never would have gotten that second chance that I did,
I would have never been living at home like I do now.

If I never would have been living at home like I do now,
I would have never wanted to see an old friend like I did.

If I never would have wanted to see an old friend like I did,
I would have never met you like I did.

If I never would have met you like I did,
I would have never learned life’s lesson like I did.

If I never would have learned life’s lesson like I did,
I would have never been so happy as I am right NOW!!

As I remember hearing someone say,
“I have a theory!
If you give 100% all of the time,
Somehow everything will work out in the end!”

And I know it’s true,
Because destiny brought me to you!

Be thankful. Some people suffer a fiery furnace, the belly of a whale, slavery in Egypt, and are led like a lamb to the slaughter. Some suffer a lifetime of blindness, deafness, lameness, etc. BUT a just and Holy God makes things right in eternity, as this present life, in comparison, is like the blinking of an eye. Yes all things have a reason and a purpose. Most people haven't found that out. God Bless
