I'm so sleepy
I'm so tired
Just let me close my eyes
Get into bed
And clear my head
And swallow my lonely cries
I'm feeling low
Don't know where to go
To get the answers I need
I want to give up
I stare in to my cup
And drown myself in tea leaves
I know I've got friends
Who will help in the end
But there's only so much they can do
They can listen, advise
Even judge and chastise
But they don't have to live with it too
I try to protect
Give love and respect
It still isn't working at all
I'm feeling depressed
Run down and stressed
Think I'm setting myself up for a fall
I don't know how long
It's expected to go on
But I've really had enough now
'Cause things have to change
Before I end up deranged
Biggest question of all though is
HOW?

Definately morose...but I am partial to despair myself so I rank it fine enough. That's life I guess...the brittle faces of reality. Nicely captured page from a tortured existance. On the flipside...the very first steps to solving any conundrum begins with a question...so..I gues your 'how" at the end could bring about a better resolution...but why not wallow in despair like me...enjoy the balm of sweet respite from care...and forget about it..drown in the ecstacy of apathy...so says the deranged man..maybe you should ignore my mad comments...oh well. |

I know how you feel. Its nice to know friends are there for you, but they dont have to live the pain, day in and day out. Life is hard, especially when you are a single Mum. I wish I knew HOW for you, but most often we have to find our own way. You know Im always here to listen, and I will never chastice!!!! This poem is excellent, take care.
Love Dawny x
