One Day In Time

Contributed by Thejefmosis on Friday, 13th September 2002 @ 11:32:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

When I saw her the first time,
She sauntered by,
Without a glance,
Not even a hi,
I gave her not a second glimpse,
And went on my way,
Of her I thought no more or no less,
Until the next day,
Not now but forthcoming faith is the test,
When I saw her face,
I saw her eyes of green,
And my heart began to race,

My obsession started to gleam,
Early in the morning sun,
I began to grasp my passion,
As the day began to run,
I started off the day with a new fashion,
For I took a swim in the clear waters,
The lake was calm not even a totter,
For this day would be a day of remembrance,
The time was brief before our depart,
But one last goodbye was of import,
I found that red haired girl,
The one with green eyes,
I showed her I cared,
In a strange whirl,
And then I left,
With my heart’s cries,
When I got home,
With my friend I shared,
The ache of my heart,
But I still felt all alone,
And I have a part,
Of her that I still crave,
To this day,

Yes, it shows the characters (or your) feelings well.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
