Reflections of a dying soul

Contributed by Cobalt on Tuesday, 9th March 2004 @ 12:20:15 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I look in the mirror
but still can't see myself.
Words come to mind
that I've heard in this lifetime.
Maybe it's true that
I really don't exist
or that I am not real.
But maybe I need somebody
who can make my world melt.
I can't keep thinking
things just like this.
I'm walking a path
that is getting so hard to follow.
Sometimes I feel that I'm
not all that strong when
I feel like everything is
dying inside of me.
So tired but can't sleep.
Wanting to cry but
still keep on smilling.
I just want to scream
about all the pain thats inside.
Nothing comes out right
failing myself.
It's getting so dark
that the Sun gives no light.
Can't run or hid from myself.
Always there watching,
pointing, and laughing.
sometimes I hate you.
I look in the mirror
still searching in vain.
But at least this gun comforts.

Raven's Sin

This hit me at my core. I have had similiar thoughts. Especially when I look at myself in the mirror. There is another side that taunts yet I don't know how to just give in. Why is the things we need so badly inside are so hard to grab ahold of and keep? I liked this one soooooooo much! Kie

I have a friend who wrote about dreaming that his worst enemy was chasing him. He finally turned around to confront him and discovered that he was looking in a mirror. This reminds me very much of that. An interesting and telling write.
