I want the love of the ages,
The one that makes your heart stand still,
The one that doesn't bring pain,
The one that doesn't quietly kill.
I want the love of my best friend,
Just someone who knows me really well,
Just want someone who can tell me,
Who will remind me why I fell.
I want that love that just holds you
In the middle of the night,
When the rest of the world is in their beds
Sleeping nice and tight,
I have a dream of someday,
Growing old,
That he'll always be there,
With my hand to hold.
I have a dream of being special,
Of being the one that he'll adore,
Nary a word spoken out of anger,
Yet, not a bore.
Just the perfect combination
Of someone who suits me,
I have that dream, of someday,
True Love finding me.
