Silly Girl, Foolish Girl...

Contributed by kayald on Monday, 8th March 2004 @ 10:55:05 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

So shallow and empty
I hoped there was more
I thought I could help you
But now I don’t see what for.

Silly girl, you can’t change him
Foolish girl, trying to be nice
Maybe they all are shallow
Why didn’t I heed their advice?

What a nice thought,
Try to find their lost souls
Reach out to their hearts
And attempt to mend all their holes

But no, that cannot happen
Their walls are too thick
Hiding their bruised feelings
In barriers stronger than brick.

Silly girl, you’re so stupid
Foolish girl, just shut up
They don’t care about you
Why don’t you just give up?

There’s no point in this nonsense
Why try to make change?
Helping others is something
Too far out of my range.

Now this is over
And you can turn your back on me
I will still try to help you
But just act like you can’t see

A silly girl, so foolish
So dumb not to see your ways
I’m sorry I got attached
You never wanted me anyway
Silly girl, foolish girl,
Just get out of his way
