His Own Little World

Little Sunny
Just couldn't understand
What was happening
How buildings
Could crumble
And kill.

In his perfect
Little world
Tragedy
Was not known
Superman
Always saved the day
And the sun
Never stopped shining
In his own perfect
Little world.

Thorns
Never pricked
Mommies and daddies
Never died
Buildings
Never collapsed
No one ever cried
They only laughed
And smiled
In his little world.

Innocent nieveness
Killed by tragedy
His world
Went dark
He saw destruction
And felt pain
When daddy
Didn't come home
Why
He just can't understand.

This is so true...especially at this time ..Good poem!
