My Brain, My Enemy
Washing my face,
Wishing that my thoughts will be washed away,
With the dirt, the sweat.
Running away,
Hoping that they will be left in the dust,
With my energy, My strength.
Trying to think of something else,
Praying that the new thoughts will replace the old.
But nothing works.
The very thing I want to live without,
The thing that blocks everything behind it.
My brain refuses to cooperate,
It is as though I have lost all control,
As if my cars breaks have gone out,
My thoughts go careening off the cliff,
With nothing but the ground to stop it.
My brain is now my enemy,
And this battle I may loose,
But I refuse to loose the war...

I think it's great that you don't want to lose the war. I am going through the same thing, & so I cannot be of much help, I'm afraid. Just keep your spirits up & try to get through it. Wish you luck! Great write, keep it up! |
