Morning Lovin
------------------
Wake up at the crack of dawn,
Get out of bed put my robe on.
Down the stairs to the coffee pot,
Did it set the timer? Probably not.
Relax and read the morning news,
Paper full of lies and a few trues
Look at the clock, it’s time I get on the go,
But my body still wants to move slow.
Get a shower and put my best shirt on,
Check in on my son as I yawn.
Rush all morning just to now slow down,
Can’t leave till my son’s up and around.
For I need his kiss to get me through the day,
And a few of his hugs goes along way.
This is my morning routine and I wouldn’t change a thing,
After my morning lovin, I feel like a king.

sounds like a morning right out of the Ozzie and Harriet show with Rick and Dave Nelson waving goodbye as they head out the door. |
