Here I stand without you,
Waiting to see your face,
But it's taking to long
Every minute that goes by,
It feels like forever,
But I can wait it out
The wait is too painful,
The worry is too strong,
But I will wait for you
Every hour I'm without you,
Feels like a life time,
But it's worth it
I just wait to see your face,
And it gets prettier everytime,
And I love it
The wait is worth it,
The worry is worth it,
And I'm glad I waited for you

In my country there is a saying. It states that waiting is agony, the very essence of torturous uncertainty. Anyway...nice work...you depicted that agonies of waiting in painful clarity....it helps that your protagonist gets what he waited for in the end...a happy ending...if your are into that...I would have preferred the waiting to go on endlessly... |

Bravo! I personally thought this was a great poem. Your longing you expressed so clearly and I liked it so much I read it several times before commenting! I wish you all the luck in your wait and may all your dreams come true. Kie |
