growing up in this place
hard to find a different face
everywhere you go
there's always someone you know
everything you see
shines in the sun so clearly
every breath you ever take
reminds you that your always awake
every sound you hear
gives you that little sense of fear
everything that you taste
you hope that its not a waste
everything that you touch
doesn't remind you of anything much
everything emotion you feel
reminds you that this world is real
everytime you think
you write it down with blue or black ink
everything that you pass
you realise nothing's greener than the grass
then you find this world is too fast
soon enough you've forgotten your past
and just when you think your life is free
its all just a poetic tragedy

Too true....true indeed....why is it that when we are young we yearn to grow and when we did we wanted only to return to that youthful years....poetic tragedy sounds about right...oh well nice jaunt into memories...a great picture of yesterdays. |
