Looked inside the mirror,
no reflection,
no connection,
to who ive come to be,
Shattered pieces,
of my own reflection,
my own collection,
the puzzled pieces of me,
If you look too close,
youll see that you have been looking too far,
your world gets blurry and only,
because youve been looking too hard,
I used to believe,
that I had an Angel,
a Guardian Angel,
how could i believe,
I prayed to her,
i asked her a question,
i asked her for safety,
she looked right through me,
If you look too close,
youll see that you have been looking too far,
your world gets blurry and only
because youve been looking too hard,
I took the shattered pieces,
every broken memory,
I tossed them to the wind,
every dark feeling inside of me,
Gave my soul to the stars,
but still this reflection,it refuses to break,
still waiting for a dream, just a dream,
to suddenly shake me awake,
If you look too close,
youll see that you have been looking too far,
your world gets blurry and only
because youve been looking too hard.

| The loss of identity can be a cruel jest, a painful reflection of things long past. It happened to me a couple of times...hope your protagonist will recover a reflection that will seem familiar and soon before its too late. Anyway a great poem in my opinion... |

an interesting, contemplative poem. I liked the introspective nature of this poem... yet it is disturbing in the sense that you haven't posted in a month. Good poem... hope to see more from you soon.
