Relationships are tainted…
Through tinted glass
through which you peer

You b**ch,
you jeer

at me.

You’re teasing and you’re lying,
if I’m unpleasing,
then you’re lying

with another man

and I find I can’t stand
to stand and watch time

destroy
what I have worked so hard to achieve

but deceive
is all you do
I think I’m through

with this,
with you,
but when you kissed
me I knew

I could never withdraw
And this you saw.

With yellow fingers
you stroked, stoked,
and choked
my crystallized heart –
Within my silken chrysalis,

I am immured.
