Love is a weakness.
People use your emotions to
manipulate you, to take advantage.
To love is to be blind.
You cannot see the truth
or think straight, leaving you vulnerable.
You say now "Love is fantastic!"
Wait till the crash,
when he deserts and destroys you.
To love is to be foolish.
You show that you feel,
and feelings can be hurt.
When you love, you have a heart.
Hearts can be crushed and broken.
And as you lay sprawled on the floor, a part of you dies forever.

| Ditto to that...l would rank among those who consign love as a weakness....but then again in issues of emotions I am largely a coward. I simply reduce my emotions into repressed contentions. So perhaps there is a greater courage in those who dare to love...and to brave its hurt...or maybe not...maybe it takes the greater courage to deny this flimsy sensation called love...he he to each their own! Nice work by the way. |
