End of the road

Contributed by Cobalt on Sunday, 7th March 2004 @ 04:08:50 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

I kissed your lips
and held you close
one last time.
Let you go and turned away.
Didn't wnat to see those
tears running down you face.
You scream to me but
it's too late to stop.
I'd told you goodbye
for now maybe in
the next life
we'll get things right.
I'll never know why
you loved me so.
Things have come
full cirlce and
we've both died so much.
It's time to say goodbye.
It's time to say goodnight.
No more I love you's.
No more I miss you's.
The lights are off
and this place is cold.
The end of a life
that should have been.

Raven's Sin

Love those lines! Great job... dark and final but yet sad and regretful. Awesome!

So sad. Saying goodbye is never easy. Neither is letting go. There is alot of inner strength shown in this poem and I thank you for sharing it. Kie
