The darkness overpowers me, it surrounds me, everything disappears. I'm blind to happiness, love, fun, all the things you need to live. I don't want light, it's too unfamiliar, it shows too many imperfections and flaws from myself and others. I want to see what I want, the darkness covers it. Nothing will flip the switch , I'll stop them, they won't even get inside, they won't even come close. Don't come near me it's contagious, the infection is so common, the disease is curable, you can't die from it, but I wish you could, the suffering will make your existence unexisitable, your life unlivable, and the constantness of it all will become your life, it's not, your life was already ruined, gone, but not forgotten, those were the days when blood flowed through and you could feel and your eyes still had fire, now the fire is dim or extinguished, diminished, unreplenishable. It dosen't matter I can't feel any of it.

Very interesting write. Sort of a stream of consciousness type thing. I'm guessing that this is what it's like on the drug. Never needed morphine, but know people who have.

I like the imagery in this poem, it definitly sounds painful. Yet I'm left wondering how you know if you can't feel it. |
