Choking On Air
Gasping, Choking,
Praying that there will be enough oxygen,
To hold me through the night.
But each time I close my eyes,
The smoke seems to grow,
Thicker, Heavier, pushing down on my,
Outward pushing chest.
Coughing,
I open my eyes,
To see that the smoke is not there,
But it was mearly a figment,
A figment of my ever wondering imagination.
My imagination no longer wonders,
But remains on the smoke,
Until I open my eyes one day,
And there is smoke.
It's too late,
It's effect has kicked in,
Now I lie,
Waiting for death to catch up...

Don't quite understand it either...but I can relate to it... since I have asthma... I've been there choking on air ... just can't seem to get enuff sometimes...
