Topic: oops

it courses through me hard,fast
then explodes in a blinding light
it is the pain that drives all life

ever changing, flowing, shaping
the world is closing in
all things good are now coming to an end
as the pain begins

sharp and hot burning through me
aching agony never moving
this is where I will end
in the buring fire of this pain

hands reach out to save me
but no one comes in
to this flame I'm living in

eyes watch as I burn
laughter rings in the air
no one mourns my passing
as the flames burn brighter still
consuming to destroy all

when nothing is left
and the flame no long resides
a wind calm, cool and smooth passes by

ashes move across the ground
the earth folds me into its embrace
as tears fall down its face

time flows on and changes come
the earth becomes hard and cold
but time contiues and new life begins
from where the flame tried to pierce my soul

flowers blossom and the earth blooms
the circle is complete
but no one notices
that this world is now without me

Words come from many places. This reminds me about 3 weeks ago at work. I wonder if they would realize I was actually gone. Then I realized yes they would and couldn't leave.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
