A REFLECTIVE CASTLE

"A REFLECTIVE CASTLE"

A reflective castle stands precipice wise,
overlooking the sea of mankind.
A moat extends from castle to sea,
welcoming thoughts refined.
Windows light open, reflections
caught by the sun.
Doors without latches, stand wide open
thoughts from everyone.

Spacious "Ballroom" reserved for
humorous dancing delight!
Dark dense dungeon, "killers of joy"
imprisoned with blight!
Isolated tower, meditation, concentration.
Quiet solitude, peaceful soul's strengthen.

A room kept exclusively for bad
memories of the past.
It's door is bolted, never trespassed.
Cheerful memories further down the hall.
Sunshine's warmth, bright rays "CatchAll!"

Kitchen with fireplace, constant ember burn.
Dishes of discernment, easy to
digest, and learn.
Variety with spice, classics, novels, poetry.
Warmly served, easy to chew, tasty, timely!

Bright windows, smiles, happy
positive thoughts.
This is my favorite room, it's called "Love Lots!"
Warm hearts of kindness, goodness,
and mildness gather here.
Clearing negative cob-webs, renewing
love's shining veneer.

Step from mankind's sea, onto
the moat's walk.
Come often to the Reflective Castle,
to listen, and talk.
Surrounded by protective solid walls of rock...
No reservations needed, come often......
no need to knock!

"It is not the events, but our viewpoint
toward events that is the determining factor.
We ought to be more concerned about
removing negative thoughts from the mind
than removing tumors and abcesses
from our body."
--Epictetus--

I can see the Castle in my mind's eye. Anything that has to do with castles I love reading about. You did a great job Critters. I really enjoyed reading this. It was very captivating. Keep penning my friend. *S* Cynthia

A poet, indeed, is the Critter's creed
--------------------------------------------
If such a castle were on earth,
I'd join you with a room for mirth,
To bad, there's many people there,
Who'd build a room for pure dispair.

You might of course create a ban,
On weepy woman..sadsack man,
And only let the good folks in,
.Who ask of others, "How've you been?"

Life can be a dark empty cold house or a loving home filled with warmth, love and laughter. This is truly beautiful, Connie. I can only pray it will make some realize that your life is because of your choices and your state of mind. Grand piece of work.
