How will you be remembered when you die?
Will they remember your awesome smile?
At your funeral do you think they will cry?
Or be glad and hold you in denial
The mark you leave on your life is your choice
What if you don’t live to see tomorrow?
Live life to its fullest and always rejoice
Or there will be no one feeling sorrow
Will you be the man who gave or took?
Do you count your blessings every day?
Will your life be lived like a plain old book?
‘He was a great man’, is that what they’d say?
Remember this and always try your best
Or you’ll just turn out like all of the rest

A very poignant reminder of life and mortality. I like it...though it makes me sad....for I am I gues among those who will be just like the rest...If only I have more time...and the will to try my best...but I guess to each his or her own, we walk of our separate paths and individual destinies....sigh... |

I agree with venkat, you send a good message with this poem and it's one that needs to be remembered. Good writing. |
