That Sad Day

Contributed by Sweetie on Thursday, 12th September 2002 @ 10:59:48 AM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

I can't believe it's been a year
since America learned to fear
Since those planes were hijacked
and us Americans they chose to attack
Sept. 11 2001 was a wake up up call
for every single person big and small
America has many enemies
and in this world were just little fleas
Many learned to Pray that day
they found themselves on their knees searching for the right words to say
Realizing money means everything to many
they'll reach out and grab every single penny
Americans took their eyes off God
and then they were hit
But still some people will never get
What it means to live
to love one another and to give
Many lost their lives that day
trying to save others in every way
It's a sad thing to think about, but it's true
On that beautiful Sept. day all those people went through
Blue skies turned to gray
on that sad day
In our memories those who died will always be
As we look back as far as we can see
that day many souls were set free
All the good went to heaven on that sad day
and found happiness in a different way
People die everyday in a different way
But these people killed from hate on that sad day
Wake up America we need to Pray!
The world does not evolve around us
that's something we all learned on that sad day
So be thankful for every second you live,
love everyone, and give
Because only those who are good, have faith in God and believe go to heaven.

I love your poem... Really feel sad about the 9/11 incident though I'm not living in the USA. I do hope people in USA will learn how to pray and set their eyes to our Lord Jesus Christ.

With deepest condolences to USA

yes praise the lord that thousands of people are dead?!?!?!?! what does god have to do with kamikaze terrorists, are you clueless, sheesh, oh yes you're a woman, figures, nothing is nice prissy and perfect, don't praise god if he lets down his wrath upon your country, you must be a terrorist yourself, im surprised that religious folks praise death when death is what god does not support you need to be clued in on life, get off the computer and look around, do you see god? neither do i is there any scientific evidence? no so if you are intelligent, THINK!!!!!!!!!!
