Blood and Tears

Contributed by WannaDieCuzImEMO on Friday, 5th March 2004 @ 12:10:29 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

There's a drop of red
Dripping down
I think of what you said
and I want to drown

In these clear drops
That drip, that rain
the red stains my top
the clear can't stain

I scream out in silent agony
as the tears and blood pour out of me
they keep me lonesome company
as I lay in the dark
letting the red stain and mark
trying to make sense of these feelings
that are reeling
out of control
I get a sense of feeling full

Full of emptiness
as I look at the mess
that's covered me and my body
I try to clean it with my tears
that are so clear
compared to the blood
that's covered me like a flood

There is nothing in me anymore
I've cried out the water
more than once before
I've fallen in the mud
bled out the blood
given up on trying
and I've stopped my crying
only to start again

And realize there is no end
