Does it have to be another story,
Without a happy ending.
In fact another story,
Without an ending at all.
That shots not mine to call
I’m stuck on the first page.
I could write all day about what should happen.
I’ve thrown so many pages away,
Then the ink runs dry.
Just trying to capture what I saw.
He broke your heart.
I know what you need,
That story has already been written.
And I read every word on every page.
You can count me in for the haul.
But for me to get off the first page,
We’ve got to write this one together.
A story can’t contain just this one sentence.
“I’ll catch you if you fall.”
Because you fell I’ve fallen for you.
