EVER WONDER

Contributed by Whisper on Thursday, 4th March 2004 @ 10:56:49 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

IF THE WORLD WAS A PLACE FULL OF CARING AND SHARING PEOPLE
THEN WHY DO WE HAVE WARS
IF THE WORLD WAS A PLACE OF WONDERMENT AND AWE
WHY DO WE HAVE STARVATION AND CONFLICT
IF THE WORLD WAS A PLACE OF GIVING AND LET LIVE
THEN WHY DO WE HAVE UNWANTED BABIES

IF THE WORLD WAS MEANT TO BE A PLACE WHERE MAN CAN LIVE WITH OTHER MEN
THEN WHY DO WE HAVE PREJUDICE
IF THE RACE TO THE MOON WAS SUCH A VITAL PART OF OUR EXPLORING NATURE
WHY CAN'T WE CLEAN UP OUR OWN BACKYARD

IF THE wORLD WAS MEANT TO HAVE WATERS COVER THE MAJORITY OF THE LAND
THEN WHY DO WE POLLUTE THE WATERS
IF ALL MEN SHOULD TAKE A NOTION TO COME TO THE AID OF THEIR COUNTRIES
THEN WHY IS AID OFTEN GIVEN WHILE THE CONFLICT CONTINUES

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE GROWTH OF A NATION
WHEN EACH NATION IS MADE UP OF ALL THE RACES
WHY THEN IS THERE BELIEVERS THAT DECIDE ONE PEOPLE IS BETTER THEN ALL THE REST

IF THE WORLD WAS AS LIKE A BOWL OF CHERRIES
WHO DECIDES WHICH OF THE PITS SHOULD BE CAST OUT
IF THE WORLD WAS A OPEN BOOK
THEN WHO SHALL CHOOSE WHEN THE FINAL PAGES CAN BE TURNT

IF THE WORLD WAS GIVEN BY A CREATOR WHICH WE REFER TO AS GOD
THEN WHY DO SCIENTIST INSIST THAT WE EVOLVED FROM APES

AND WHAT IF PEOPLE STOP ASKING THE QUESTION WHY
AND MERELY ACCEPT ALL THE WAYS THAT ARE FORCED UPON US
HOW DO THE POWERS THAT BE JUSTIFY

THATS ALL THERE IS.

wHISPER

They don't have to justify it. We accept it like babies being fed pablum. We just sit back and allow it to continue and until enough of us start doing something it will remain this way. Only the people can change it. Vast amounts of disgruntled, unhappy people protesting the vileness they create and allow to fill their pockets and need for power.

The first and only "commandment" from the "Creation" is "Survive!"

All life is designed collectively to recreate from the mechanical chaos that is inherent in
inanimate substance and the laws that govern it.

Without life all would eventually grind down to a fine "dust" . perhaps the expansion would then reverse and culminate in another Big Bang......................How many Big Bangs have there been?

We (mankind) siurvive by intelligence (cunning) and sinnce "the cake" isn't big enough for all of us to share, we band together to get as much as we can.

Slowly technology and self disciplne (stopping proliferation) will give us a solution but in the meantime "leaders" will come up with all sorts of "cons" to band us together to survive at the expense of others.
