Is a prayer to the night
enough to redeem
Will forgiveness come
with dried tears to a shuddering plead
And if the silent cry is granted
will the pain still remain
though no one knows of the burdens inflicted
And though time will pass
it's not whats asked
but the death of one thing
of the memory that lasts
and unwanted wisdom it brings
And I know in my heart
there's no change in whats done
but just maybe next cry
the answers will come
