splattered on the sidewalk
chalk heart
dust blown away
hopscotch
i lost
my turn
to play
rain came
washed it all away
waiting for another
turn
^^^***^^^***^^^***
make a wish
copper penny
carried my dreams
for me
when i believed
^^^***^^^***^^^***
pretended it didn't matter
paid for the sin
a hundred thousand
times over
hell knows
where i live
brittle skin
shatters
dust blown away
^^^***^^^***^^^***
make a wish
copper penny
carried my dreams
for me
when i believed

Gosh, I really really liked this one. Hopscotch was so much fun and there is so much truth and wisdom with a touch of sadness in this poem. Awesome. Kie |

I felt a great sadness in this....and expressed in a way only you can. Ya know I'm here if ya need an ear.
