Eclipse of the Heart

I'm not sure what happened to you
To make you be this way.
If it was something I did
Please tell me, I pray.

You were everything to me
You had a loving heart before
But now I feel that love no more.

Where did it go?
Love can't just disappear.
It can't be there one minute
And the next-not be here.

I care for you.
I know you cared for me.
At one time we both thought
We were each other's destiny.

Now we're apart.
Something has gone wrong.
Is there someone else?
Please say no; please say I still belong.

There's only one explaination.
It was an eclipse of the heart.
I wish I knew when it had its start.
One day I knew there would be no harm,
For I was safe in your arms.
But now your heart is as black as the night.
And in you, I see no light.

You've cast me away.
And I will go.
But, remember, you will always know.

My love is forever.
It shall always last.
Even though youre feelings for me
Have seemed to pass.

Even though you've gone through
An eclipse of the heart.
Will it never end?
Or will I be forced to live alone again?

Come back to my dear!
I'm waiting for you here.
Waiting to see that smile
That made everything seem worth while.
To be together 'til the end of time;
To know that you are mine.

To know that the eclipse of your heart is gone
That a new day has dawned.

To know you love me still
(I know I always will)
End this blackness inside of you
Either do it for me
Or do it for you.

End this eclipse--of the heart....
