Reflections

Contributed by uchendu on Wednesday, 3rd March 2004 @ 12:53:54 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

If my eyes can peep
into the mind of nature
seeing the bundle of ropes
that bind all mysteries

CHORUS
If only I can be less man
to hear the little man within

If my hands can be lifted
up to the stars
feeling the tint of heat
that warm our blessings

CHORUS
If only I can sieve
harmony from discord

If my palms can firmly cup
in devotion to the cosmic
sensing the slab of Being
that rocks the pendulum of life

CHORUS
If only I can detach
good from evil

If my mouth can stay drunk
with the water of life
tasting the salt of love
that gives birth to joy

CHORUS
If only I can unknot
reason from emotion

If my legs can keep walking
in the sanctum of light
hiking along burning bushes
from where wisdom is brought

CHORUS
If only and only and only
I can achieve all my ifs

If only I can separate
cause from effect
only then can I step
into the bossom of God
