broken addiction

Contributed by ml03 on Wednesday, 3rd March 2004 @ 01:23:50 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

when i'm alone
when the nite
is dark
and bleak
the wind
freezes
the naked skin
and everything
turns to dust
a whirlwind of emotions
caught up
in your tornado
and your face
reigns supreme

round and round
and all i see
is broken glass
shattered tears
and one long string
heart pulled tite
like your kite
you just unravel
slowly
ease me out
of your world
than thrust me
back against your canvas
blood stricken
your world consumes me

you're the demon
that consumes
my every move
the shadow
that haunts
my dreams
the voice
that won't shut up
on and on
like a broken record
you won't die
with goodbye

you stay
you lurk
you're the everything
you're the nothing
you're the hypocrit
and i hate it
you make me cry
you make me laugh
its an endless rollercoaster
and i hate the ride
but
i can't get off

you're the one
in the mirror
that tells me
i'm ugly
i'm worthless
i'm anything but
you're the blade
the razor
that cuts
away
every insecurity
any real feeling
you're the one
who thrives on the blood
you pleasure
is my pain
and its all been
one night
to long

the masquerade
needs to end
reality
sanity
must come back
somebody must help
shake some sense in me
put me in a straight jacket
and lock me up
hide me
just save me
can't anyone save me
but me
and i can't take the two steps
out the door
without lookin' back
one last kiss
you always say it will be differant
how
this time i'll end up
in a casket
dead and buried

This is really good! Well written, sad, but good!

Powerful words indeed, I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Some kind of tragic really.
