I wasn't born into this family
They just took me in and "adopted" me
When I needed a friend...
When I needed someone to care...
When I needed someone to be there... to...
Just love me
'Cause God sent them into my life
Just when I needed them the most...
Just when I was ready to give up...
Thinking all was lost...
There they are... to...
Just love me
Even though I have a family...
A mom and dad whom I think sometimes cares...
But all they do is fight...
They can't seem to get their love worked out right...
They just scream and yell...
I hear it... until....
I can't take it anymore
So I just climb into my own little world
Hoping to find someone there who will...
Just love me
I keep reaching out wanting to be found...
Wanting a life of peace
Waiting... hoping for someone to...
Just love me
Whenever I go to a friends for the weekend
It's a vacation for me
A time to relax...
To find golden silence and wonderful peace
Time... so I can just think...
And have the freedom to be myself
To ponder the little things in my life
That sometimes means the most
A hug... a touch... a word... a smile
It's these little things in my life
That make it all seem worth while
And to have someone... to...
Just love me
Maybe with encouragement from family and friends
My life will get better in the end somehow...
For some one to...
Just love me
It's all I'm asking for now

The love of a friend is one of the most desirable things in this world. I wish that whoever it is you wrote this about, finds love.
