Goldenrod is all that’s left after the decomposition of flesh
After gutting
And filleting
And disembowelling.
It is the boneyard colour of headstone city
The gulf of non-existence
Goldenrod is an intestate species of colour
A colour that has bought the egg orchard.
It is a clover kicking clay eater
A dust raising dirty neck
An apple knocking swamp angel.
Goldenrod is an appetizer of Spanish soup
Followed by oysters wrapped in bacon
Then Antarctic doughnuts.
It is the colour Goldenrod that blocks much of the sun’s ultraviolet rays
Although before humans got their hands on this one
They’d never had a planet to wreck before
So no one knows exactly
What goes on
Twelve miles up
Where Goldenrod hangs out.

Well, I wish this colour in total would stay 12 miles up. I detest this color intensely. It is distasteful and pessimistic. Had it on the wall of a kitchen one time of an apt I moved into and immediately dispatched someone to come and cover it immediately. LOL
