Reached Home

Contributed by wachumiri on Tuesday, 2nd March 2004 @ 01:08:15 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

God the Father
Almighty One
Has seen it fit
To bring home a son

And though you wish
To hold him near
God has His timing
So do not fear

Though mourn we must
For hearts to mend.
You have lost husband,
Father, and friend

Lost to this world
To this place of sin
But he's found a home
Before God in heaven

Let teardrops fall
Let yourself sorrow
For the heart must cry
To have peace tomorrow

So very touching. A hard reality juxtaposed against a beautiful sentiment.

He has traded this world for a crown of righteousness and glory. My heart goes out to the family.

This is so true. You have a gift for finding just the right thing to say at the end of your poems.
